I ended up going to two rugby games during my
stay in Dunedin. The first was the Highlanders (Otago) vs. the Crusaders
(Christchurch). It was pretty fun… we won so I guess that’s all that matters,
right? The second time I decided to go all out and wear the official fan outfit
sponsored by Speight’s beer. We looked damn good, and definitely looked like
official scarfies (students at Otago), except we lost that game... Rugby is the big sport in NZ, equivalent to american football (popularity wise).
